I’ve landed a couple remote gigs doing ergonomic consults and chart reviews; keep a one-pager ready with NPI, active state licenses, and malpractice dates and “apply within 24 hours” because some postings disappear faster than a good C1 pop. Small caveat: some “remote” listings still want a monthly in-clinic day, so ask upfront.
Landed a telehealth utilization review last month because I led with EHRs (ChiroTouch/Jane) on my one-pager. When a post says “apply promptly,” I also include availability in both Pacific and Eastern since a lot of listings run LA to Maine. @djones39 is right on licensing, but some “remote” roles sneak in occasional on‑site days — — so I always confirm time zone expectations and any in-person requirements upfront.
Replied within an hour to a ‘posted in real-time’ listing and got a same-day screen after I dropped a Calendly link and attached PDFs of my NPI and state board verifications. Quick tip from last week: I ask whether their telehealth visits are cash-only or insurer-billed and which CPTs they get reimbursed for; a lot of teams don’t realize CMT isn’t on the CMS telehealth list (https://www.cms.gov/medicare/telehealth). “confirm W-2 vs 1099” — I also request a sample agreement before sending a malpractice COI and, if they’re new to remote, a 1–2 shift paid pilot to verify workflow and volume.

Caveat: even for remote roles from LA to Maine, they usually want you licensed where the patient sits, so I list active states with expirations.
